Jeff and June Daugherty purchased Springhill Plantation Bed and Breakfast, Winery, and Vineyards in September 2020. June is the retired Executive Director of the YMCA of Greater Louisville-Bullitt County Family Branch where she worked for 30 years before retiring three years ago. Jeff owns his own company, Cornerstone Carpentry & Painting. Together they plan to use their combined customer service and business experience to operate a first-class bed and breakfast. They have four adult children and two daughters-in-law. Their two daughters, Mallory and Christina, will be helping run the B&B and winery. The rest of the family will be helping on a more as-needed basis. Owning and running a B&B has been a dream of June's for several years and they look forward to meeting many new friends!
Mallory is a 2016 Sullivan University alumni. She earned a degree in the baking and pastry program. She has loved food, cooking, and baking since she was a little girl. Her favorite thing to do while growing up was to hold tea parties on her birthday. She will be serving breakfast each morning to our overnight guests. She will also be opening Lady's Tea Room in the front parlor for lunch, high tea, birthday parties, and special events.
Christina is a 2019 University of Kentucky graduate. She earned her degree in fashion merchandising with a minor in business. She has also enjoyed running things and will use those gifts, her charming and fun personality to bear in running the winery tasting room and gift shop.
