A Comfortable, Relaxing Stay for Everyone

To help all guests fully enjoy the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere of our 1857 home, we kindly ask that you take a moment to review the following policies before your stay. If you have any questions or need assistance, we’re always happy to help.

Rates & Occupancy

  • Rates are based on Double Occupancy.

  • Additional Guests: $50 per person per night, with advance notice and approval from the Innkeepers

  • Children may be accommodated with advance notice. A $20 per child fee applies.

  • No pets are allowed.

Smoking Policy

Springhill is a non-smoking property indoors.

  • Smoking is permitted outdoors only.

  • A minimum $250 cleaning fee will be charged if smoking occurs inside or if lingering smoke or damage is detected.

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept:

Cash, debit cards, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, personal checks (subject to a $30 returned‑check fee), traveler’s checks, and gift certificates

Deposit Requirements

  • A deposit of 50% of the total stay (minimum one night) is required at the time of reservation.

  • Deposits may be paid by cash, check, money order, traveler’s check, or credit/debit card.

  • The remaining balance is due upon arrival.

  • Guests are financially responsible for the full amount of the reservation.

  • All payments are guaranteed by a valid credit or debit card.

  • 6% Kentucky State Sales Tax

  • 1% Transient Room Tax

  • 3% Tourism Tax

Prices may vary from third‑party websites or during holidays and festival weekends. Sales tax is applied to the total room charge plus local taxes.

Taxes

Early Departures

Guests departing earlier than their reserved end date are responsible for the full reservation amount.

Check-in & Check-out

  • Check‑in: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM EST

  • Check‑out: 11:00 AM

  • Early arrivals are welcome to enjoy the winery, but no early drop‑off of bags or in‑room items.

  • Arrivals after 6:00 PM require advance notice so key arrangements can be made.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations more than 14 days before arrival

  • If you cancel outside of 14 days prior to arrival, your deposit will be refunded minus a $25 per room, per night Administration/Re‑booking Fee.

Cancellations within 14 days of arrival

  • If you cancel 14 days or less before your scheduled arrival date, your entire deposit is forfeited unless the room is re‑booked.

  • If we are able to re‑book your room(s), your deposit will be refunded minus the $25 per room, per night fee.

Groups & Premium Seasonal Events

  • For reservations involving more than one guest room or during Premium Seasonal Events, a 30‑day cancellation window applies.

Administration / Re-booking Fee

  • Cancellations within 7 days of arrival require the full reservation value to be charged.

  • Any and all rescheduled reservations carry full financial responsibility for the entire stay (100% obligation for payment), regardless of future cancellations or further date changes.

Optional Trip Cancellation Plan

Available upon request when making your reservation.

  • Cancel up to 12:00 PM EST on the day of arrival and receive a full refund of your deposit, minus a $25 Administration Fee.

  • The plan costs 15% of your reserved room rate.

  • Full pre‑payment of the reservation is required to enroll, using a credit or debit card.

Damages & Special Cleaning

Guests are responsible for:

  • Any damages, broken items, or theft occurring during the stay

  • Any excessive cleaning required due to spills, misuse, or policy violations

If damages or special cleaning are required, charges may be applied to the credit card on file after departure, not to exceed $250.

Right to Refuse Service

Springhill Bed & Breakfast / Winery & Vineyards is privately owned and operated.

Management reserves the right to refuse service or ask a guest to leave for:

  • Disorderly conduct

  • Disrespect toward owners or other guests

  • Intentional damage

  • Non‑compliance with policies

Waiver of Liability

Owners are not responsible for:

  • Accidents or injuries to guests

  • Loss of money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind
